Originally from Scotland, Anne has lived in Australia since childhood. She is currently based in the rural area of Nug Nug in North East Victoria and has lived in several different country towns across the East coast of Australia.

With a background in photography, Anne’s current practice encompasses a multi-disciplinary approach, including video, textile and sculpture. With a strong bond to the natural environment, Anne’s focus on materiality creates a connection to origin and engages with natural cycles.  Her recent work uses meditative moving image to give a sense of duration to hand-woven abstract objects as they sit gently in the natural environment.  The audio component of this work explores the sounds she encounters in her local surroundings. The use of textiles in her work also investigates the connections formed by threads and how they leave a trace and communication with what came before and what can come afterward. Anne has recently completed her Masters of Fine Art at RMIT in Melbourne.
